I moved to Michigan with my family when I was five years old. Of course a move like that is a big change, even for a little person, and I wanted nothing to do with leaving the friends and neighborhood I knew…but that soon changed. I fell in love with Michigan’s beautiful landscape and the new friends I made. I have to thank good old mom and dad for instilling in me from a very young age an appreciation for nature. We went on many camping trips and outdoor adventures. We weren’t rich and going camping or going to the park were activities we did for vacations.
I don’t have a formal education. I was accepted to U of M but dropped out realizing that the traditional school setting and 9-5’s were not for me. You might guess based on my lack of formal education and traditional job that I have a lot of alternative ideas, and you would guess correctly. I like yoga, mediation, and thinking of our bodies as a whole. Our mind is connected to our body in seemingly mysterious ways. This is one of the main themes you will find on madamei.com.
Every person is on a unique journey peppered with experiences good and bad. I like exploring both sides of the picture and trying to be open minded.
I hope you enjoy my b-side perspective. If you ever want to shout-out you can get a hold of me here.
